Some surf camps organise regular lessons and guided activities, while others focus on accommodation and access to nearby surf spots.
Volunteering at a surf camp
Tasks may include welcoming guests, preparing breakfast, cleaning shared spaces, managing equipment, organising activities or helping with communications. Surf instructors and water-based activity leaders may need appropriate training, experience and certifications.
Surf lessons, equipment and access to activities are not automatically included in a volunteer exchange. Ask what the host provides and whether the opportunity involves actual surf-related work or mainly hospitality duties.
