What is social design? 🧩🤝
Social design is an approach to design that focuses on addressing social needs and improving people’s everyday lives. It often involves collaboration with the communities concerned, rather than developing solutions without their participation. The outcomes may include products, public spaces, services, educational activities or new ways of organising community resources.
Volunteering in social design projects
Depending on the organisation, volunteers may help research local needs, facilitate discussions, document ideas, develop prototypes, organise participatory workshops or support the testing of new initiatives.
