Explore Photoshop volunteer opportunities and work exchangesA work exchange is an arrangement in which a traveller contributes an agreed amount of help to a host in return for benefits such as accommodation, meals or learning opportunities. Conditions vary by host. where image editing, photo retouching, digital graphics or other Adobe Photoshop skills are genuinely useful to a host or organisation.
Photoshop may be required as part of a wider graphic design, photography, communication or social media role. Some projects need experienced designers, while others may only require basic image editing skills.
What counts as a Photoshop opportunity? 🖼️
A project belongs in this archive when Photoshop skills are explicitly requested or image editing with Photoshop is a genuine part of the role. General photography, social media or graphic design opportunities should not automatically receive this tag if the software is not actually relevant to the work.
Using Photoshop in a volunteer role
Tasks may include editing photographs, preparing images for websites or social media, creating graphics, retouching visual material, producing promotional content or supporting a wider design project. Ask what files and deliverables are expected, which software version is used and whether a suitable computer and software licence are provided or you are expected to use your own equipment.
If you will edit photographs of identifiable people, especially children or people in vulnerable situations, clarify consent, privacy and how the resulting images may be stored and published.
