Training, coaching and safety
Before accepting a coaching role, clarify what level of experience is expected, who you will teach, whether you will lead sessions independently and what supervision is available. Teaching beginners safely requires more than personal training experience, especially when sparring or contact drills are involved.
Muay Thai is a contact sport and injuries can occur. Ask what protective equipment is available, how sparring is supervised and whether first aid or emergency procedures are in place. Make sure your travel or health insurance covers the training and activities you plan to undertake.
