Explore leadership training opportunities where structured learning, mentoring, workshops or practical leadership development form a genuine part of the programme.
These opportunities may appear within volunteering, youth programmes, educational exchanges, internships or professional development initiatives. Formats and expectations vary, so check carefully what participants are expected to do and what training is actually provided.
What is leadership training? 🧭
Leadership training is structured learning intended to develop skills such as communication, decision-making, facilitation, teamwork and project coordination. On Voluntouring, this tag should be used when leadership development is explicitly built into the programme, not simply because a volunteer role involves responsibility or initiative.
Training and volunteer responsibilities
Some programmes combine leadership development with volunteering, mentoring or project work. Check whether you will primarily receive training, help facilitate activities for others, take responsibility for a team or combine several of these roles.
If a programme advertises certificates, mentoring or professional development, ask what the training actually includes, who delivers it and whether participation depends on completing specific activities or assessments.
How to use this page
Check the publication date, programme dates, eligibility requirements, learning activities, expected responsibilities, weekly schedule, accommodation, meals and any participation fees. If funding or a stipend is advertised, confirm exactly what costs are covered before applying.

After removing listings where leadership training is unrelated to the participant’s role, this archive may temporarily have few or no opportunities. Future programmes will appear here when structured leadership development is a genuine part of the experience.
Do you organise a volunteer, educational or professional development programme with a clearly defined leadership training component? You can submit the opportunity to Voluntouring.org for editorial review.
