Explore gaming community volunteer opportunities and projects where video games, game development, player communities or gaming-related digital activities are a genuine part of the role.
Opportunities can involve game testing, game development, streaming, player support, community management, digital content, moderation or other activities connected with online or offline gaming communities.
What is a gaming community? 🎮
A gaming community is a group of people connected through a shared interest in video games. Communities may develop around a particular game, platform, streaming channel, guild, forum, Discord server or other shared space where players communicate, collaborate, create content or support one another.
Gaming communities and volunteer roles
Volunteer activities can range from technical work such as game development and testing to creative or community roles such as streaming, graphic design, moderation, player support and managing online communities. Read each listing carefully, as the required skills and level of responsibility can vary considerably.
A project should involve gaming in a concrete way to belong in this section. Simply having internet access, computers or gaming as a leisure activity does not by itself make an opportunity a gaming community project.
