Yogalåva is a charming glamping and yoga project nestled in the Norwegian countryside—essentially a rustic barn converted into a yoga studio, café, cultural venue, and glamping site near Flatdal in Telemark.
Around 2019, the owners renovated the old barn into a yoga space, and by summer 2021 they had added glamping accommodation and an organic shop. As a volunteer, you’d typically exchange about 30 hours of help per week—tasks might include farm work, customer service in the glamping café, light renovation, maintenance or gardening—in return for food and lodging in a tent or cabin.
Staying on site, you’d assist with daily operations and help maintain the barn, glamping spots and organic shop, all while immersing yourself in a laid‑back environment.
You’d also have access to the yoga studio—taking classes or retreat sessions, and enjoying the natural surroundings with opportunities for meditation, hiking or simply relaxing outdoors. There’s no fee—you’re covering your contribution with your labor, and meals and accommodation are included. It’s an ideal setup for someone wanting to deepen a yoga practice, connect with slow‑living values, and live close to nature within a supportive learning community. In essence, Yogalåva’s volunteer exchange is a holistic blend of meaningful work, yoga immersion, sustainable living and cultural exchange in a peaceful, off‑grid setting.
