Six Weeks of Off-Grid Volunteering in Rural Hungary

Beyond the Grid is a six-week European Solidarity Corps volunteering programme in Pécsely, Hungary, from August 5 to September 16, 2026. Participants aged 18–30 from EU countries will live in a small international community at Cold-Hill Shelter, an off-grid place surrounded by nature. Volunteers will help build a solar-heated garden shower, support seasonal gardening, explore simple water systems and learn about ecological living through daily practice. The programme also includes one week volunteering at Gyüttment Festival, Hungary’s largest eco-festival. Food, accommodation, travel reimbursement and €7 per day pocket money are provided.
