Are you between 18 and 27 years old and dreaming of an unforgettable, sustainable summer adventure? If you’re looking for free travel passes for young people in the Alps, this is your chance! The Yoalin – Youth Alpine Interrail program is giving away 150 free travel passes that allow young Europeans to explore the stunning Alpine region by train and bus!

Launched in 2018 as part of the Alpine Convention’s initiative to promote sustainable mobility, Yoalin empowers young travelers to discover the Alpine arc—including France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland—with a focus on slow travel, cultural exchange, and environmental awareness.

What’s included?

If selected, you will receive a free Interrail pass that gives you access to trains and most buses across the Alpine region during summer. You’ll be part of an international community of youth ambassadors and take part in:

• A kick-off event in Poschiavo, Switzerland, in June
• Regional meet-ups during the summer with fellow travelers
• A closing event in Bern, Switzerland, in October

The pass is self-directed – you’re free to plan your own route, visit small villages, hike through mountain trails, explore Alpine culture, or simply ride the rails through breathtaking landscapes.

Applications are open until May 15, but the first 50 passes will be assigned by April 21, so don’t wait!
