Anastasia and Richard are building their dream light straw clay house on their land in Kaina village, Crete, Greece. They are seeking a couple of volunteers to help them from August to October 2023.
No prior experience is needed for the work, which involves mixing straw and clay and using it to fill walls for about 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. In exchange, they offer accommodation in a spacious bell tent and three daily vegetarian/vegan meals at no cost.
Volunteers can learn natural building skills and enjoy the surrounding nature, though having a car is recommended for exploration as the site is remote. They provide pickup from Chania International Airport but cannot assist with visas.
