Horse volunteering in Andalusia Spain | Riding Fun In The Sun

Riding Fun In The Sun is a small horse-rescue and trekking project based in the hills above San Luis de Sabinillas on the Costa del Sol, southern Spain.

The association rescues horses and funds their care by offering guided treks for visitors through the beautiful Casares, Manilva and Gaucín countryside. Volunteers help around 20–25 hours per week, with two days off, mainly supporting the horses and the daily running of the yard. Typical tasks include feeding, grooming, mucking out, preparing horses for treks and helping to welcome guests. In exchange, volunteers receive free food and shared accommodation, plus the chance to ride regularly in stunning mountain and coastal scenery. Life here is quite rural and off grid, so it suits people who enjoy a simple lifestyle, animals and outdoor work. There are no participation fees, but volunteers should be ready for physical tasks and basic living conditions.
