Volunteer with a small family in a remote nature reserve in the Scottish Highlands.

Cathy, John and their home-educated son Leo share a cosy cottage, large garden and access to miles of wild countryside. Helpers contribute around 24 flexible hours a week, helping with house and garden tasks, childcare, dog walking, cleaning, berry picking, preserving, assisting with messy-play sessions and self-sufficiency projects. In return you receive meals, a warm welcome, country skills, and the chance to learn about foraging, poultry care, jam and wine making. This placement suits independent, confident people who enjoy animals and rural isolation.
