Teaching & Language Exchange in Vietnam – @ Talks Cafè

We are starting up an English centre in Vietnam. the name of the company is TALKS CAFE, that is so different from traditional centers. The operation is in a Coffee shop and 7 students are in a class. Our students are in university from 18 to 25, they are very young, dynamic and friendly but beginners of English. That is the reason why I need volunteers to help our students practice 2-3 hours per day. I am willing to be your host, prepare accommodation for you guys.

General info

The volunteers are covered with accommodation by us. Staying with locals is interesting, you guys can learn how to be like Vietnamese, live in Vietnamese culture. We have a tour, so you guys can learn about history, lifestyle, tasty food of Vietnam. Make sure to also share about yourself and your own country about your experiences travelling and what you have learned on the road, how to drive a scooter in crazy traffic, in order to create a valuable cultural exchange and to further intercultural understanding

Volunteer expectations

The volunteers have to be nice, enthusiastic, not a crime, do in punctual and have to speak English clearly, slowly and easily to understand. No need you to teach them, just talk English with them or do activities with them.

Because we and our staff are eating out and working in the evening,  we can provide you guys with the dinner fee.

VISA – could you provide Visa support/info?

No, I cannot help with Visa but I can offer assistance

What to do in the free time

Ho chi Minh city is the biggest city in Vietnam. On your time off, you can hangout with our students, they can take you guys to visit around the city. Or if you guys go alone, we have a public bus, you can visit many places such as

• Notre Dame Cathedral,
• the oldest Post office, both of them were built by French during the Vietnam War.
• Floating market,
• slum area for poor people,
• you can see the real lifestyle of Vietnamese people, that is unseen on TV.
• Flower market,
• China town is so ancient and beautiful at night

How to get to your site

The head office is in Phu Nhuan district, but our homestay is in Tan Binh district near the airport.
And we have many branches (at least 6 right now), so the volunteer will arrive from homestay to any Coffee shop in the city. Don’t worry about that, we pay the transportation fee for you guys.
You will be on Grab Bike to do and we pay
