WWOOF or Workaway?

A close-up shot of a screenshot showing a numbered list of criticisms regarding a subscription-based travel or hosting system. The text details issues such as being locked out of messages upon subscription expiry, untrustworthy feedback due to fake excellent reviews, misleading advertising focusing on 'dream style teenage backpacking travel' rather than practical skills, and increasing costs. The final paragraph mentions the user's four years of personal experience with the system, concluding that while it has flaws, 'many things are good.'

“In comparison to common sense and fairness.

When your subscription expires you are locked out of your private messages and profile so in case you are just traveling to host and in meantime your subscription expires and you are unable to pay right away, you are unable to even contact the host you were talking with so if you cannot pay right away you are screwed on the road.
Most of people are fake and usually do not write any neutral or not excellent expreriences (only excellent) with host or even worse – they had a bad stay and they put excellent feedback just so it looks good on profiles. Therefor mostly the whole feedback scene is not trustworthy.
They mainly advertise lame dream style teenage backpacking travel and very little about the actual work/help /skills. Lame branding.
Getting more expensive.
I was using it for 4 years, just personal experience. Still it is a good system and idea many things are good.”
