Hi everyone!
Are you sick and tired of the hustle and bustle of the city life or the repetition of your daily routine lifestyle? Do you want to take a drastic break and embark on an adventure that could also leave behind meaningful footprints?
Then you might fit in very well with our project! ๐
We are working on an upliftment project in the Richtersveld, a remote area in South Africa, which is generally underrated in the volunteering community and therefore never receives the attention it needs.
The current focus is on agriculture, employment and property renovation part of the project, but in 2019 we will also add a tourism component.
Activities
We could offer you free accommodation and meals if you could help us with one or more of the following:
- gardening
- plumbing
- renovation
- building
- painting
- tiling
- mechanical skills
- electrical skills
- farming/agricultural sector
- carpentry
- photography/videography
- administration
- website building
- graphic design
- social media marketing
- business strategy
- knowledge of raising funds for social upliftment
If you take some time off your schedule to help us, we will make an effort to make your stay a memorable one!
Geography
The area where we are situated is beautiful in its own unique way. Not only does it offer tranquility, sunshine, plenty of natural habitat and interesting cultural aspects, it is also situated close to the Namibian border and next to the Orange River, which means that trips to view the wild oryx wandering around in Oranjemund could be organised, sports such as fishing, kayaking and hiking could be enjoyed, trips to the ocean and the nature park nearby could be arranged and we will also organise a few social events to make you feel at home.
