Red Bench is a travellers’ community in Zavyalovo, Siberia, Russia, about 100 km from Novosibirsk. The community welcomes volunteers who want to experience simple village life, nature, and meet people from around the world. Help is needed with building, farming, gardening, cooking, babysitting, English activities, bakery work, and daily household tasks. Volunteers are usually asked to stay at least three weeks. Summer accommodation may be in a shared Mongolian yurt, with outdoor cooking, banja, summer shower, and outside toilet. Free time can include hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, and picking mushrooms or berries.
