Chirokitia Eco-Village is an emerging sustainable community located near the ancient village of Choirokoitia in Cyprus. Situated approximately a 20-minute drive from Limassol, Nicosia, and Larnaca, the eco-village is nestled in a picturesque valley about 10 kilometers from the coast.
The project aims to create a self-sustained intentional community focused on sustainability, community engagement, and cultural exchange. Volunteer opportunities have included tasks such as land clearing, landscaping, marketing, and social media management. Participants are encouraged to share experiences and enjoy traditional Cypriot cuisine prepared by local hosts.
The eco-village is located near the UNESCO World Heritage site of Choirokoitia, one of the most significant and well-preserved prehistoric sites in the eastern Mediterranean.
