My Little Red House Bilingual School started in 1998 as the dream of Alba Gloria Penman, in the backyard of the Penman family home. Today, the school is an institution and well-respected within Nueva Ocotepeque.

The school needs the help of its donors, as well as international, native English-speaking (and French-speaking) volunteers.

General info

We are a bilingual (almost tri-lingual) school in the mountainous region of Ocotepeque, Honduras. The school, which teaches kindergarten through eleventh grade, integrates both English and French with standard Spanish education.

We Are Different Because

My Little Red House Bilingual School depends on our volunteers to teach our English and French programs.

It is a unique experience to volunteer with the school and it can change the lives of the students and the volunteers. Ocotepeque is a safe and peaceful town set among the northwestern mountainous region of Honduras, making it a beautiful place to live.

Accommodation

All volunteers (three months or longer) receive free accommodation at the Penman family-owned volunteer house, three small meals per day, and purified drinking water.
