โGuzhengโ (ๅค็ญ) is the name of a traditional Chinese string instrument.
It is a large wooden zither, usually with 21 strings stretched over movable bridges. Players pluck the strings with picks attached to their fingers, producing bright, flowing tones often associated with classical Chinese music.
Au pairs in China experience traditional music through guzheng lessons as part of the Qixing cultural program.
