Family of 4 welcome voluntourists in Canada, Quebec 🇨🇦

Old Quebec City is at its most magical in winter, when fresh snow softens the rooftops and the St. Lawrence River turns steel blue under the cold sky. Above it all, the Château Frontenac rises like a storybook castle, perched on Cap Diamant and watching over the historic district. This grand hotel is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, and even if you do not stay overnight, it is worth stepping inside to admire the lobby and the views.

For the classic panorama, walk along Dufferin Terrace, right beside the château, then continue toward the Old Port to see the river, the ice, and the passing ships. Nearby, the narrow streets of Petit-Champlain and Place Royale feel warm and lively, with small shops and cafés tucked between stone houses. Take your time, dress in layers, and let the winter light guide you through this UNESCO-listed old town.
