Ecovillage volunteering in Mexico – This volunteer exchange takes place at Roca de Hadas, an eco village in the making in South Jalisco, Mexico, about 30 km north of Colima. The host is looking for motivated volunteers (solo or couples) to support practical projects connected to permaculture and natural building, with a typical schedule of 4–5 hours per day, 5 days per week, and two days off. Food and accommodation are offered, and the environment is simple and nature-based.

What’s the mission of your community? 🎯

The eco village in the forming, on top of being a lovely place to live with like minded people, will provide seminars, classes, trainings related to permaculture, bioconstruction and services for healing and personal development (yoga, medicinal plants, meditation, massage, organic food, etc…)

Volunteers age restrictions 🔞

We can host volunteers of all ages (senior volunteers and minors are welcome) 💪

Underage volunteers: approval from your parents is required (if we are ready to welcome you, we’ll need a hand written letter with copy of their ID)

Volunteers with disabilities ♿

This is a ranch, so not wheelchair friendly.
Please send details about your disabilities so we can assess if it is a convenient place and possible activities for you.

5 hours x 5 days. two (2) days off after 5 days help.
You can stay at the ranch during days off.

Our expectations: be motivated and committed. Follow rules and safety instructions, especially when using tools.

About accommodation: dry toilets, exterior showers, and limited privacy. Shared kitchen and living space (terrace)

Diet: vegetarians and vegans welcome, you may have to cook for all (thus promote meat-free meals 🙂

Certification through ra eference document or a letter

For a social and quality experience, we don’t use of phones during work, meals and social time. If you have a concern (a REAL one, like a kid or parent inthe  hospital, we will provide a phone number to call during work, meals and social time.)

Please use headphones if you need music so we can all enjoy the birds singing, the breeze in the pines…

You may be allowed to use tools for a personal project.

Nature and outdoors, hiking. The cute village is at a 25 min walk. There are buses to Colima city and Guadalajara.
