Specific Goals
- Living together
As a community project, Tribojam is a place where community living is being reinvented for the 21st century. The project seeks to bring a balance between personal and community needs. Further, it promotes harmony between the need for private space and time, while building a harmonious group, supporting each member.
- Music
Both Tribojam community and Tribojam gatherings will be home to a lot of music and jam sessions. With a growing collection of musical instruments, a small PA and some recording equipment, the project aims to one day host a true recording studio and diverse musical events. Drum circles and jam sessions will be frequently going on at night.
- Non-Formal Learning Environment
Both at the community and the gatherings, Tribojam will be set up as a non-formal learning environment, with workshop areas, room for dance and yoga, space and equipment for arts… Along the lines of non-formal education, participants will be encouraged to develop skills and knowledge in areas of their liking and according to their own motivation.
Who Can Participate at Tribojam?
Tribojam is open to people of all ages and backgrounds with special attention for youth. An interest in sustainability or personal well-being is welcome as those are the themes the project is developed around. For the Tribojam community the project will host participants who are welcome to take part in community living and all sustainability and well-being activities that take place. Further, we will welcome volunteers who come with specific skills, to work on specific tasks. People who stayed at the Tribojam community for some time can apply to join the community permanently as a member.
For Tribojam gatherings, everybody is welcome to come and participate. Further, we will attract people with special skills and knowledge to give workshops and talks fitting the theme of the gathering.
If you are looking for a place to tune in to nature and yourself and learn about topics such as eco-building, music, hypnosis, agro-forestry, eco-living, rock climbing and much more, Tribojam community is the place to be for you. You will get the opportunity to experience what it is like to live in a community with other people and take part in community-building activities.

What to do in the free time
- Music – At Tribojam Community we love to Jam together. Bring your instrument or use one of ours. If you aren’t a musician yet, don’t worry we all have music in us and with some guidance and patience, you will soon enjoy being part of the sound.
- Imagination Work
Centred around the discovery that human imagination is a gate to the non-material realms, we enjoy workshops that take participants on a journey to their inner worlds and beyond, travelling between shamanism, hypnosis and healing and mediumship.
Seeing Permaculture as a philosophy of life, we try to, step by step, create harmony in our livelihood. To achieve this we apply Permaculture principles to manage the land and develop our project. We can share with you an introduction to its concepts.
- Eco-technology
To reduce our ecological footprint we strive to apply eco-technology. This means we favour eco-building methods and are constantly looking for ways to reduce our energy use or make it more sustainable.
- Hiking
In the beautiful surroundings of Vinagra, Nisa and Vila Velha de Rodão there is ample space for hiking. On a free day we can explore the tracks through the hills together. Occasionally we may make a longer hike, spending days camping along the route.
- Camp Fires
We do believe campfires have been at the centre of human socialization for most of its existence. When the season allows (fire risk) we love to reunite around the fire singing, playing dancing and telling stories.
- Community Building
Community building is the cornerstone of any successful community. At Tribojam Community we will invite you to join in our Talking circle and workshops on Non-Violent Communication, Decision making, etc…
