Festival of Creativity in the Czech Republic needs volunteers for July 2026
Updated June 2026. The Festival of Creativity is currently inviting volunteers for its 2026 gathering in the Czech Republic. The festival is scheduled for 17β26 July 2026, with volunteers asked to arrive one day earlier, on Thursday 16 July, and stay until after the final clean-up.
This is a small, participatory festival in nature, with creative workshops, acoustic music, shared meals and a simple camp atmosphere. The gathering is held in the south-west of the Czech Republic, near the village of TichΓ‘-DolnΓ DvoΕiΕ‘tΔ, with the nearest train station listed as RybnΓk and transport links from places such as Prague, Vienna and Frankfurt.
What volunteers help with
Volunteers are mainly needed to help with food preparation and the shared kitchen or chai tent. According to the official volunteer page, this may include cutting vegetables, washing pots, helping prepare one meal a day, welcoming people when they arrive and generally supporting the daily life of the camp.
After the first day, volunteers usually work one shift per day, either around lunch or dinner, so they still have time to join part of the workshops and enjoy the festival. The organisers also mention that volunteers should have at least one full free day during the gathering.
Volunteers should bring their own tent, bowl, spoon and cup. Food and tea are included for volunteers.
About the festival
The Festival of Creativity is a participatory gathering with workshops, music, storytelling, yoga, contact improvisation, creative writing, singing, dance, bushcraft, games, discussions and other activities proposed by the people who attend. The idea is that participants do not only watch from the outside, but also share skills, stories, music or simple creative moments with others.
The festival describes itself as a small gathering with no alcohol, drugs, dogs or phones. Conditions are basic, with camping, compost toilets, bucket showers and a nearby lake. The organisers recommend bringing rainproof gear and warm clothes, as the site is at about 700 metres altitude and nights can be cold.
The festival is held in English, although it takes place in the Czech Republic. People come from different countries and backgrounds, and the atmosphere is built around shared meals, workshops, music by the fire and simple community life in nature.
