Kenya organic farm and eco-village – Hello, I am called Abraham, permaculture qualified trained teacher and a founder of the farming group and project that form as a result of the tripartite arrangement between the 5 young permaculture farmers from different communities that are Kagola, Kowino, Kaduk, Kangaga & Kajuang’ making K5 village project. The farming group is already registered with the government of Kenya as a Community based organization, that has a focus farming programs vision of empowering the community technically, socially and economically through identification and utilization of available resources for community benefit through Poverty and illiteracy eradication, environmentally management, permaculture and organic farming, education of the disadvantaged children’s through vocational skills transferred, by way of permaculture & sustainable organic agriculture, tailoring, carpentry and also applying simple farming methods that can upgrade the community economic status.

K5 village project, have volunteers programs to come and help and share together, we would appreciate and welcome the person who is knowledgeable in the following field as there will be no age limit and they can assist in numerous areas depending on their interests in the project, including:

- Teaching at our village private school.

- Research trials involving various crops and growing methods

- Demonstrations of greenhouse farming, drip irrigation, pest control and farm input management.
- Helping schools in the area to develop a small school farm so that the schools can be more self-sufficient.
Volunteers can help by organizing the project, planting and taking care of crops and educating children about environmentally friendly agriculture and organic.

Volunteers’ benefits:
Volunteers will benefit from the community, through cultural exchange, tours in our tourist attraction sites like hot spring, Rhuma national park in Homa bay, boat ride in lake Victoria.
You will be awarded a certificate of participation and will have time playing with kids.

English, Kiswahili and Dholuo.
How to get to your site
We are located in Kajuoga village on the rural part of Homa Bay county Nyanza province, We are 20km south Western part of Lake Victoria which lies on the hinterlands of Rangwe districts Korayo Location. The village has a population of 3000 people, 2 cottage village Polytechnic industry, 11 Protestant churches, 2 catholic church, 2 primary schools, 2 high schools, 2 shopping centres nearby.
Directions
Here is the direction from Nairobi: you can come with a flight from Wilson airport to Kabunde airstrip in Homa bay 45 min. By road take the bus easy coach, trans line company to Homa bay town paid kes 800.
Then from Homa bay to host place use motorbike pay kes 200.

Yes!
