Building a Transformational Life Retreat Center in the Mountains of Andalusia, Spain

We are taking the first steps towards building a nature-based, interdisciplinary retreat center in the mountains of Andalusia dedicated to transformational life development, authentic relationships, personal empowerment and purpose. The vision is to create a space that blends together reconnecting with nature with a no-BS coaching approach that enables radical honesty, authentic connection, and deep inner work assisted by a very caring team of facilitators – rooted in both professional training and lived experience.

For us, β€œno-BS” is not about being confrontational or dismissive: we are referring to addressing the patterns, limiting beliefs, roles, and expectations most of us have acquired throughout our lives. It is about approaching personal growth with honesty, humility and compassion. We are less interested in offering inspiring slogans or quick fixes than in creating the conditions where people can honestly explore themselves. We see transformation as the lifelong process of understanding what has shaped us, becoming aware of the patterns and beliefs that influence our lives, and developing the freedom to choose how we want to live, relate and contribute.

Mountain landscape surrounding the project near Bayacas, in the Alpujarra region of southern Spain.

The farm is located in a beautiful, secluded valley nestled in the mountains of Andalusia. The 20-hectare property has several dwellings, a large yurt, and it is crossed by a river which irrigates hundreds of centenary olive trees. There are also many other fruit trees (such as almond, avocados, khaki and apple), vegetable gardens, and a large pool. Everything is completely off-grid (solar power, compost toilets, etc.). The closest village is a 10-minute walk from the farm. Nearby villages offer lots of opportunities to get involved in workshops, volunteer days, community events and fiestas outside of the farm.

We are in the early stages of building this retreat center, which will also involve building a multicultural, interdisciplinary community of deeply caring people who will be part of the team to carry this vision forward. Alongside the transformational work, the project also involves organic farming, renewable energies, and bioconstruction. We are currently planning the work for the upcoming months, which will involve farming, construction work, team building, and art. We welcome caring and thoughtful people from all walks of life who resonate with this vision and would like to be part of the project, whether it is for short or long term, and who wish to contribute in any of the many sides we are working on.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself in your introduction when you reach out. Looking forward to hearing from you!
