We are an Italian/Brazilian couple with two small kids, 6 and 4 y.o. We recently moved to this land to build our dream. Set an ecolodge and dance working space in the wild nature of Brazil.

10km away from the centre of Paraty, a world-famous city in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We are an Italian-Brazilian family of four and a year ago we moved from Milan to here, wishing to build an ecolodge in the forest. The property has plenty of resources and we are just starting so there is plenty to do: gardening, planting, and building (working with word and rocks mainly) If you are interested in a jungle immersion write me for more info. What’s the mission of your community?
Our project is recently born and everything is being developed slowly, as we live and feel this area. We are guided by principles of permaculture, love and respect for all living beings. Volunteers in all signed areas are welcome.

Note about the volunteer work and other expectations
Volunteers are expected to bring their expertise and be present with the skills they mention to have. Also, kitchen help and cleaning own spaces are needed, as all members in the house contribute equally to it. Of course, it is possible to discuss working hours and breaks.

We don’t charge but do expect to have helpful volunteers. Accommodations are very simple. You can bring your own tent if you prefer and use the house bathroom.

Maybe. We can help with an invitation letter if the candidate has good qualifications.
Volunteers’ benefits:
Cultural exchange and learning from our expertise (Angelica is a psychologist and bodywork. Davide is a wood designer.) Also having fun with the kids ☺ You will be welcome to have a ride to the city and beaches around.
What to do in the free time
Here you can Swim in the river, birdwatching, enjoy nature. Out of our land, you will find beaches and islands to visit by boat, a beautiful worldwide famous city recognized by UNESCO

Portuguese, Italian. Also German and English.
Geography
The climate is mainly hot and humid almost all year long. In our land, we have a humid valley and also a drier area from where you see some mountains.
It is a tropical country! Paraty is located in a wonderful bay!

Easiest and cheapest is to come from Rio or São Paulo by bus. We can pick you up in the city. It is a 15 ‘ride by car to our place. 10 km (4 of a white road) we have no transportation available for this last part.
Is there internet access?
Yes, but not very strong.
