Become an eco volunteer in Latvia
A call reached us via our FB community. Inspiria NGO is preparing eco-volunteering actions across Latvia for autumn 2025. Projects will support local forests and communities while promoting everyday sustainability. The team invites participants of all ages and backgrounds, and notes that accommodation is provided and flights are covered by the organiser. Because this is a multi-site programme, placements may rotate between locations, so flexibility, teamwork and a positive attitude are important. We are awaiting confirmation of the weekly time commitment and days off so applicants can plan responsibly.
As an eco volunteer in Latvia you will learn by doing.
Typical tasks include nurturing young trees and helping rangers with seasonal forest care; assisting at clean-ups and simple recycling actions; trying basic eco-building techniques with safe supervision; and helping with small awareness activities in towns and schools. These activities introduce practical habits that reduce waste, save resources and strengthen community ties. The programme aims to connect local residents with international volunteers who care about nature and want to contribute in a respectful way. No specific experience is required.
