OUTBACK JOBS — Alice Springs
We are recruiting at Ooraminna Station Homestead 27/2/2022. – We are based on a 600-acre farm – Ooraminna Station Homestead, 30km South of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. We have 4 cabins, 4 Glamping tents, a restaurant, event centre, campground, and require staff
Staff required are :
❖ HOUSEKEEPER
Immediate start — SEASON Applicants must be:
- Experienced in housekeeping
- Excellent English
- Clean, tidy and presentable for front of house and greet guests
- willing to work in all areas of domestic B&B & restaurant
- RSA
- Flexible with work hours
- Residency or working visa & a happy personality
❖ CHEF
Immediate start – SEASON Applicants must:
- Be capable of running the restaurant and enjoy team environment
- Have extensive experience in cooking & food safety & have an RSA
- Be tidy, hospitable and able to work front of house and other areas of hospitality
- Computer skills for check-in and front desk and willing to assist in other areas of business
- Residency or working visa & a happy personality
❖ CASUAL WAIT STAFF
Weekend work Thurs — Monday.
Applicants must be:
- Experienced in waiting tables. Happy to assist back of the house in kitchen
- Excellent English • RSA desirable but not imperative
- Clean, tidy and presentable for front of house and greet guests
- Residency or working visa & a happy personality
- Car not necessary. We can pick you up on Friday or Saturday. We are flexible.
Farm work also available: Collecting firewood, pulling out and removing weeds, feeding animals, cleaning out stables, general gardening and maintenance
Accommodation, all meals and living expenses $130pw Ooraminna Station offers separate staff quarters.
Own room or twin share quarters & shared bathroom.
We have people travelling to and from the station if you don’t have a car. We can collect you from Alice Springs.

Ooraminna Homestead offers several luxury accommodation options as well as a unique function and events venue. It is just 30 minutes south of Alice Springs, this 600-acre property is famous nationally and internationally. Biography
The Hayes family created Ooraminna in 1995 to meet the demand of tourists wanting a true outback experience. A film set depicting a 1920’s outback township, still present on the property, creates the perfect scene for large Dinner groups and evenings under the stars. There are several unique Dinner sites on the property including a large shed built as a wet weather alternative, a homestead with verandah, patio and terrace area, plus other purpose-built buildings.
Location
Ooraminna also operates Luxury accommodation cabins, offering guests a longer stay and a chance to experience the outback. Located just half an hour South of Alice Springs and even less from the Alice Springs airport, Ooraminna is easily accessible, which adds to its attraction.
