Volunteer at Voyager Park – We are Nayiem and Sophia, both just under the 30’s. We have moved to Sweden to start a tourist resort with glass igloo accommodations. We are still in the early phase and looking for people that would like to help with general work such as painting, maintenance and cleaning.

What’s the mission of your community?
Before we came to Sweden, we have worked as volunteers at a nearby farm. Our dream was to come back to Sweden and so we did. We are looking to offer the same experience for future volunteers and make sure they have a nice time and have the possibility to explore and roam the freedom and nature.

Note about the volunteer work and other expectations
Working with us might be stressful as we are still running a business. The work however is usually fun if you enjoy being outside in the nature and of course if you enjoy work. Some good things to know:
- There is not a lot of luxury at the moment. Toilets are being built and only dry (outside) toilets are available. This means you will have to go outside with -20 during the night if you want to go to the toilet.
- Cooking is mostly done from a stove and living here is very primitive.
- Internet connection is available but it’s not so fast.

What type of accommodation can you provide?
A nice caravan with a bed, camping toilet, electricity and a table with a small sofa.
Diet – nutrition information
We usually eat together and we serve meat and vegetables. Sophia is currently pregnant and we try to give her priority on her diet. For this reason, it might be a mess if we have to deal with several other diets. So we prefer not to accommodate vegetarians or vegans.
Fees transparency
We don’t charge anything for the food or accommodation.
VISA – could you provide Visa support/info/invitation letters?
No! we cannot help with Visa/invitation letters – similar requests will be ignored.
Volunteers’ benefits. Feel free to
- use any of the park activities/rentals (if not in use by guests)
- explore your own imagination. Cut down a tree, do some painting, any DIY projects or any activity or input is very much appreciated. Don’t feel bad to ask.
- Monthly compensation of 175 euros is available.
What to do in the free time
The closest city is Sollefteå. During your off-days, we can arrange a ride to Sollefteå and pick you up later.
If you prefer to go to a bigger city, there is a bus stop in Sollefteå. Otherwise, Sophia goes shopping in Sollefteå at least once a week, you can join if you want.
Otherwise, you really need to find a way to enjoy yourself in your spare time being in the middle of nowhere.

The environment is mainly natural and a lot of lakes in the surroundings. The weather can be really harsh. Especially in the winter, it can drop to -30. Make sure to bring good clothing.

- Pickup from Sollefteå busstation can be arranged.
- For train/bus tickets, the best is to look on the SJ.se website.
Is there internet access?
Yes, but not very strong.
