We need people in the following areas:
- To help us with fundraising

- Help us on the computer in other ways
- Collect money for food and help distribute it at one of the temples
- Plant trees
- Video photographer/editor
We are looking for someone who would like to start at home and put something together. Do some fundraising to fund it. We’ll help from our end. Bring that money and do the project here in Nepal. This is a perfect opportunity for a thesis project. Nepal is a very poor country, so if you’d like to think of a project let us know.
When you are finished, or as you desire, you can enjoy Nepal at your own pace while keeping our home as your base. You’ll have the best time ever. We also like to take our volunteers outside the Valley to see another area. Last year we took 2 volunteers to Pokhara and one had his expenses just about completely paid for. The other one paid about half of her own expenses.

What’s the mission of your community?
Kay Garnay for Nepal is a very small NGO that does projects to help in Nepal. Because tourism is one of Nepal’s most important industries we have a Youtube channel to promote Nepal and help tourists with tips and tricks for getting the most out of their time here. Note about the volunteer work and other expectations
We are really flexible. If a person works from home before they get here they will be working based upon their goals, not necessarily 3 hours per day. We can also pay you for a used computer in good working condition-either when you get here or at the end of your time here. Let us know what you can bring. We are always with our cameras, so our Youtube channel is a part of our daily activities.

We have a full-time cook/housekeeper. She can make whatever you want to teach her or show her a recipe.
Fees transparency
We go out weekly to explore Kathmandu or go shopping. We pay for the taxi, so the only expense would be lunch (under $5).

Volunteers’ benefits:
Nice, modern home with a private room for a couple or single person. The room has a private bath attached. We don’t eat a lot of sweets, but you can let us know what you want for dinner. We eat only, good, nutritious food and good, homemade desserts. We have 3-4 young, Nepali staff who speak English and like to have fun, all young men at the present time-good, safe brothers for you.
You will be able to see all of Kathmandu’s tourists spots.
After a successful time, 60 days, our volunteer will be able to go trekking or site-seeing outside the valley with our staff without having to pay for a guide. We will pay for transportation and room for 5 days. Things like temple, trekking, meals, alcohol and medical expenses are not included.
What to do in the free time
We live at the edge of Kathmandu, very centrally located and close to public bus stops. One of our staff will always be able to accompany you if you like. Most young volunteers make lots of friends and happy memories.

Geography
Kathmandu has mild weather. Even when it gets hot it usually cools off by dinner time. The monsoon is from June through August, but there are many days without rain and few days have rain all day long. In the winter it can dip down to freezing for a few days at a time, but you’ll usually be able to take off your jacket by 11 am. Chitwan is very hot 9-10 months out of the year and the mountains can get hot during the day and really cold at night.
The Nepali people are world renowned for being kind, friendly and hospitable, so it’s a very safe destination even for young women. You’ll have a great time here. Just let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

We will pick you up at the airport or send a car for you if you like. Otherwise, you could take a bus or taxi. We can text you the directions; it’s in the Lazimpath/Bansbari area,
