Volunteer at Peaceful Village
We are Peaceful Village Raw Vegan Healing Community seeking knowledgeable and experienced volunteers for our new community that we are now just physically beginning to build. It is totally raw land, with very few fruit trees and other edible plants growing, as well as a small rustic wood house.
How many volunteers?
We are currently only looking for two volunteers at a time that has a lot of knowledge and experience with the following types of work and skills.
Requirements & tasks
We are not here to babysit anyone or to be pushy. We need:
- independent-minded people with ingenuity and vision who have basic managerial skills.
- Someone who would be able to create 2D and 3D plans of the Peaceful Village community, through a CAD program.
- Preferably, have a camera drone.
- Natural building construction and tiny homes built for the tropics, using recycled and upcycled materials and used items whenever possible.
- Primitive building (but elegant high-quality) using vines instead of relying on nails or screws.
- Carpentry skills are also needed to build high-quality furniture, like bedding, closets and clothes racks, tables, chairs, etc.
- Get most of the natural building materials off the land. Remember to preserve Nature, by not cutting old-growth (native trees) or other sacred plants.
- Natural fencing for our community is grown from shrubs or bushes or other natural materials.
- Building paths inside the community.
- Acquiring and installing solar, wind, and other forms of alternative electricity and water hookup.
Optional: Some basic Spanish communication and writing skills.
What do you receive in exchange for volunteering?
Accommodations in Amazonian jungle with natural baths in two pristine large rivers and a waterfall on the land, and nature hikes to watch a variety of naturally free-roaming “wild” animals and ancestral trees. There is a lot to do, see, and experience around the Loreto-Orellana area. Tons of waterfalls, caves, fossils, breathtaking views, experiencing indigenous cultures, and excursions to natural parks.
