Lofoten Islands hospitality exchange – If you’ve ever dreamed of spending summer in the far north, here’s your chance. A small guesthouse and restaurant in Skrova, one of the Lofoten Islands in Norway, is currently looking for last-minute volunteers to help with the summer season.
We discovered this opportunity in our Volunteer & Hospitality Exchange Facebook group. The host is welcoming volunteers with a minimum availability of 6 weeks, with priority given to those who can stay longer. The environment is relaxed and friendly, with a community-oriented, hostel-style vibe.
Volunteers will contribute around 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, with tasks including housekeeping, waitressing, cleaning, simple kitchen help (like ice cream and waffles), and occasional DIY. Creative souls—such as social media helpers, yoga lovers, musicians, or photographers – are also very welcome.
In exchange, volunteers receive free food and accommodation, use of shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, and access to game rooms, paddleboards, books, and more. There’s even space for yoga and hobbies. Sometimes meals are shared with the restaurant staff, but volunteers usually cook their own meals.
You’ll have lots of free time to enjoy nature and explore the islands.
