We opened a music college in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and are planning another campus in Zanzibar. At the moment we do not have students who can pay for lessons. Our focus is on talented children and young people from the local community who cannot afford a music school. We are looking for volunteer teachers who can share their skills and help us build this project.
Host type
- Private / individual / family
Host mission
We are looking for volunteers because we have just started and cannot afford to pay professional teachers. My husband is a popular musician in East Africa who performs under the name Damian Soul. His journey in music is the inspiration for this college, and it is also the source of the schoolβs name: Damian Soul Music School.
We believe there are many talented kids in the streets with dreams and strong musical potential. Our goal is to help them learn music, develop their talent and, in the future, support their families through their art and help the next generations. Art and music are still growing in our country, and we want to be part of this change.
