The guesthouse El Medina, located in the old town of Bizerte, Tunisia 📍, is looking for volunteers to join their team. This is an opportunity to experience a new culture, contribute to the daily operations of a guesthouse, and enjoy the surroundings of a coastal town.
About the role
Volunteers will assist with:
- Breakfast preparation for guests
- Hotel room cleaning
- Support in the guesthouse café
- (For those with riding experience) Horse care and assisting with rides
Conditions & Benefits
- Work schedule: 5 days per week, 6 hours per day
- Minimum stay: 3-4 weeks (with the possibility to stay longer)

The guesthouse is located in the historic centre, within walking distance of the beach, the harbour, and a local market offering fresh produce and Tunisian specialities. The work environment is international, with a relaxed pace and a focus on creating a positive atmosphere.
Languages
French, German, or Russian language skills are a plus but not required.
Diet
Being vegetarian is not an issue, but vegan options are limited due to local food availability.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS for Guesthouse in beautiful Bizerte, Tunisia.
The guesthouse Al Medina in the old town of Bizerte is currently looking for several helping hands who are up for an adventure.
If you enjoy an international working atmosphere and like to participate in various activities, you’ve come to the right place!
Working conditions : 5 days per week with 6 hours per day.To keep a good dynamic in the team we would like you to stay at least 3-4 Weeks, with no limits to stay longer.
Responsibilities: Breakfast preparation for our guests, hotel room cleaning, support in our coffee and if you have riding experience also support on our rides and horse care.
The clock ticks a little slower in Tunisia, so the work is done at a leisurely pace with lots of laughter and iced coffees on the side.
Accommodation, food and other expenses are of course covered and you can keep all tips, as well as bonuses for good work or if you want to work more.
Your accommodation is located in the old town, a few minutes walk from the beach and right by the harbor. A local food market with Tunisian specialties, spices, fruit, vegetables and freshly caught fish is also just five minutes away. Restaurants with terraces right on the harbor invite you to round off the day in the evening. We are also not far from beautiful forests.There is no such thing like sharing rooms, everyone gets their own room to secure everyone’s privacy. Being Vegetarian is no problem but Vegan could get difficult, as there are sadly no alternative protein sources etc.
Speaking french, german or russian is a big plus, but NO MUST.
Participation in activities: Enjoy and participate for free in our wide range of activities such as horseback riding, jet skiing, hiking, beach days, boat days and much more.
