Join the Alchemy School of Healing Arts

We are ASHA, an eco-retreat village in Italy & a community centre in the making. The Center is the cornerstone of an initiative to regenerate a nearby village – which is partly uninhabited – into a thriving Intentional Community.

Our vision is that this centre will become an academy and safe haven dedicated to ethically, environmentally, and socially responsible living, commerce, and business.

Since we took over the property (approx. 12 hectares) in Tuscany/Italy in June 2020, our staff and volunteer teams have been working tirelessly to regenerate the land and recuperate the lovely stone cottages on the property. We are proud of the work we have done as we move forward towards our vision of a fully sustainable project. Year-round we are looking for able-bodied and motivated volunteers to help us on the way.

Updated January 2024 – We are looking for both skilled and unskilled volunteers to help with:

WINTER / SPRING / FALL

Permaculture & Gardening
Landscaping & tree maintenance
Light maintenance (handyman skills)
Grounds crew

SUMMER (Retreat season mid-May to end September)

Gardening – keeping our 12 hectares green, flowering and flourishing
Grounds crew
Light maintenance (handyman skills)

ASHA’S COMMITMENT TO YOU:

We offer free accommodation in shared housing and board.
Our program includes weekly meetings to discuss the 12 Co-Commitments that underlie our communications, sharing circles, an opportunity to meet community members (people who have chosen to move into the area) and our encouragement to share your preferred healing art.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO ASHA:

SPRING/WINTER/FALL: Work 5 hours per day (weekends off)
SUMMER (RETREAT SEASON): Work 25 hours per week in shifts. You will have 2 days off but we cannot always guarantee they be consecutive.
Minimum commitment of 3 weeks. Maximum stay of 2 months.

About the Community

Through regeneration, innovation, education, art, and healing, ASHA aims to build a scalable blueprint for land-based Conscious Communities (pilot project: Tuscany, Italy) that works in concert with a global digital platform and non-profit foundation.
