Have you ever wished you lived in an amazing jungle paradise location?

Volunteer at Zephyr River Lodge – If so, you might be in luck as we’re building an awesome new team and have heaps of surprises coming your way. We are currently looking for enthusiastic bartenders to join our team for the upcoming parties we are planning for our high season. Also, we are looking for staff to help us in our restaurant and bar, to make sure our guests feel welcome and are ensured to have a good time.

We are looking for a fun and responsible person who can commit to a minimum of 4 weeks working in Lanquin. The ideal applicant will have previous experience in a similar position, enjoy travelling, socializing with guests and maintaining a high customer service standard. You must have advanced English for this position.

We try to provide a unique experience for travellers that come to the magical town of Lanquin. Situated between the hills of Alto Verapaz, we offer unique views of the surroundings.

Diet – nutrition information

We offer a full board, consisting of different items, which can be ordered from our menu. Breakfast is as diverse as eggs, sandwiches or fruit bowls. We offer pasta, grilled vegetables, different burgers and homemade pizzas. We have vegetarian and vegan options too.

Fees transparency

We don’t charge any fees for full board. You can have alcoholic beverages at a discount price.

VISA – could you provide Visa support/info/invitation letters?

No! we cannot help with Visa/invitation letters – similar requests will be ignored.

Volunteers’ benefits:

As a volunteer, you can benefit from all the amenities of the property, such as the infinity pool. You are welcome to participate in the different tours and excursions our hostel offers, such as river tubing, cave exploration, ziplines and trips to the bio reserve of Semuc Champey.

What to do in your free time

You can hang out at the hostel and enjoy the views, dip in the swimming pool or explore the town of Lanquin.

Zephyr River Lodge is located on a hilltop in the small Mayan town of Lanquin. Located in a unique setting in the jungle of Guatemala, we receive guests from all over the world, who travel to Lanquin to visit the natural monument of Semuc Champey. We are blessed with subtropical weather with occasional rain, especially during the rainy season.

How to get to your site

The easiest way to get to Zephyr River Lodge is by booking a shuttle from any of the mayor tourist hubs in Guatemala, such as Antigua, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala City or Flores. You will get dropped off at our doorstep!
