Volunteers will be part of the Departamento de Idiomas of Preparatoria Federal por Cooperación “Melchor Ocampo” team. They will share their country’s culture in English with high school students Monday through.
Volunteers will be guided and supported by local staff in order to assist in Foreign Culture Class (your country’s culture) two-three sessions a week (50 minutes each) repeated throughout the week in 7-9 different classrooms.
You are expected to cover fourteen to twenty 50-minute Foreign Culture Class sessions a week, plus 10-16 hours of office work where you will prepare your classes, mark homework, create examinations, and grade students. That will make 30 fifty-minute sessions a week.
Class topics may be about, but not limited to Your own country’s traditions, culture, society, education, tourism, music, history, sports, literature, food, art, science, etc. guided by Departamento de Idiomas at our school, but volunteers will be free to enrich or even change class sessions with their own ideas.
