Volunteering opportunity in Italy are available from June 18 to July 2 2022

Volunteer camps in Italy – The Legambiente Emilia-Romagna APS group recently released an exchange and volunteer opportunity, open to people of all ages and nations. The camp is free for everyone, including foreign and Italian volunteers (places, however, are limited).

The announcement

From June 18 to July 2, the volunteer camp will be held at 𝐎𝐚𝐬𝐢 𝐝𝐞𝐢 𝐆𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢 at 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨 𝐕𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐢 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐨, between Parma and La Spezia!
Volunteers will create new trails in the oasis regional nature reserve and place signage. Most of the work will be done outdoors, but signage will be prepared inside the visitor center. In addition, volunteers will participate in workshops and training for a total of about 30 hours per week of activities.

Language

The volunteer camp is international so all activities will be conducted in ENGLISH 🇬🇧

Where?

Borgo Val di Taro is located between Parma and La Spezia, in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, in a Site of Community Importance. The volunteer camp will take place within the “Oasi dei Ghirardi,” a Regional Nature Reserve covering 400 hectares mountain landscape in the Alta Val di Taro.

Accommodation

The volunteers will be hosted in two rural houses, with wi-fi, a self-managed kitchen. Meals mainly include local products from nearby farms and organic meat from the Val Taro consortium.

It promotes initiatives against the abandonment of inland areas, alternative tourism and the conservation of the natural heritage.
