Description of the institution
The European Asylum Support Office (EASO) works with the aim of strengthening practical cooperation between the EU Member States on asylum, improving the implementation of the Common European Asylum System and to support Member States whose asylum and reception systems are subject to greater pressure.
Description of the offer
The social media assistant will work in the Communications and Public Relations sector, dealing in particular with:
- management of EASO social media accounts;
- monitor comments on social media posts by taking appropriate action;
- collaborate with the various operational offices;
- develop social media content with a strong graphic and content impact to engage the public;
- contract management with third parties;
- work closely with the head of the sector and maintain direct contact with the executive director;
- be constantly updated on new social media trends;
- collect and analyze social media metrics.
Requirements
A) Eligibility criteria
- have a level of higher education attested by a diploma or a level of secondary education certified by a diploma giving access to higher education and adequate professional experience of three years;
- be citizens of one of the member states of the European Union, Liechtenstein, of the Norway or Switzerland;
- enjoy political rights;
- be in compliance with applicable military obligation laws;
- have a thorough knowledge (level C1) of one of the official languages of the Union and a satisfactory knowledge (level B2) of another official language of the Union, to the extent necessary for the functions to be performed;
- offer the guarantees of morality required for the functions to be performed;
- be physically fit for the position.
B) Selection criteria
You’ll need to have experience in:
- the production, review and dissemination of multimedia content and for social media, in the management of online communities and in the orientation of participation in social media;
- using advanced tools for online publishing;
- the production and interpretation of web or social media analyzes to provide useful information for strategies and work plans;
- perfect command/knowledge of native English at written level; excellent command of spoken English.
Evaluation during the interview phase
Candidates deemed most suitable will be invited to an interview.
