Volunteering at Viirelaid Island gives you the opportunity to live in an amazing place, be an integral part of our community or family, as we see it and to learn through skill exchanges. Experience free nature, sea, free rabbits on the island and seals around the island. Travel without moving: with a constant flow of different guests – you have the possibility to talk with them, having fun with them and find new friends.

How many hours of volunteering help will you expect per week?
about 30 hours
We are looking for passionate individuals who want to immerse themselves in nature and add to our community. As a small team, communication is key. We want to hear your ideas and see the inner workings of your creative minds, just as we want to be heard and respected by you. Maybe you love to garden or cook meals, or you’re interested in working with your hands or in creating a welcoming space for others to enjoy. Maybe you pay attention to details or to the larger scope of a project.
Whether you have experience in the kitchen, garden, bar or in yoga, we are interested in hearing from you. In the past, we’ve found long-term volunteers are able to get more out of their experience, so we are looking for at least a 2-week commitment (but the longer the better!) but, if you are only available for a few weeks or less, please still send us a message as we’re open to short-termers for the right position.
About us
We who run/own this place are a couple 33 and 39 years old with our children 6 and 11.
Main guests are groups who have different wishes – some want to celebrate a birthday, some makes a wedding, and mainly we have company events – summer parties, conferences and so
We have a separate staff house where everybody sleeps in bunk beds. Females and males are separate. We have a separated shower, WC and sauna for staff.
Food is included in the volunteer package so you don’t have to pay for it.
Benefits
For activities we have on island small dinghies, SUP boards, kite surfing possibilities, next year also jetski.
There is a possibility to make trips to nearby islands as well.
