Grapes ripening in the vineyard at a Switzerland volunteer exchange near Basel
Volunteer exchange in Basel, Switzerland

Switzerland volunteer exchange – Dave (me) loves to cook and the BnB thrives on his cooking skills, website reviews and best of all word of mouth! Also known as “Dave Cuvee” to guests and social friends, creating quality, delicious meals with love and passion is my destination. Most helpers leave here with extra kg, I am not not talking about extra carry luggage 😉

Brandy is a female Hungarian Vizsla born on 20.10.2013. She is in training to search for truffles in the local forests. Brandy is a middle-sized dog weighing ca. 19kg and is very active. She is very intelligent, playful and uber-friendly with everyone she has contact with. Brandy is being trained and fed by Dave, but she requires walks and exercise when Dave is at work. You should be a very dog-friendly person.

Dave speaks fluent English and Swiss German (20+ years in CH), tattoo artist/piercer by profession, is multilingual, grew up in NYC, and is the owner/operator of a tattoo studio in Basel. He has a very flexible work schedule which finds him at home often.

Dave is also father to a young boy named Jonathan 01.2005 who speaks both English and German fluently, enthusiastic gamer, and lives part-time in the house.

Our Diet

As a family we eat a wide variety of foods at our home and BBQ year round. Naturally enjoying wine from our vineyards to compliment the foods we eat. In regards to food and cuisine, we are extremely international in our tastes… Thai, Indian, Chinese, French, Italian, American, German, Japanese, etc, etc…
Dave is an outstanding cook and will be cooking when his schedule allows. We strive to eat locally grown foods which are bio and fresh when in season, from our garden… and enjoy as well a wide variety of cheeses. Brandy eats all natural, raw meat and bones only and her diet/meals are completely handled by Dave.
