Join us in the heart of Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city and one of Europe’s Culture Capitals.

hostel exchange in Denmark – Help us create a rooftop garden for our hostel, assist with cleaning or help with renovations and maintenance. We are looking for help bringing to life a garden from a recently renovated terrace as well as some renovations on the hostel, and to make the hostel a great place for our guests who come from all around the world.

In exchange for a maximum of 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, we offer food and accommodation.

Description

You will be working alongside a few other Workawayers from all parts of the planet, so whether you want to learn English, Danish, or another language, there’s always someone with whom to exchange cultural knowledge. Our hostel is right in the city’s heart, just a few minutes walking from restaurants, cafes, bars, the lovely canal and many attractions.

The shifts are a maximum of 5 hours long and we have a flexible work week.

In exchange, we look for volunteers who are helpful, reliable and happy to get their hands dirty if needed.

Yes, food and accommodation are included

What type of accommodation can you provide?

Diet

The hostel will provide food for all meals (including access to our buffet breakfast) and the volunteers share the responsibility for cooking.

We can cater for vegetarians but more specific diets will need to be discussed.

VISA – could you provide Visa support/info?

No, I cannot help with Visa but I can offer assistance

What to do in your free time

Aarhus has plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, galleries and museums.

Depending on the season there are also a lot of festivals and events in and around the city.

Everyone’s favourite outing is a bike ride to the local deer park where you can feed the deer.
