Updated October 2022: due to some cancellations, we are seeking expressions of interest to join our site and land team for 2022! Applications are welcome from those who have skills and experience in either of the following areas listed below or would like to build on existing skills. Join our amazing Volunteer Team! A new opening in our Site Maintenance & Grounds keeping team has become available.

Site Maintenance

Taking a lead on the site maintenance, repairs and improvements. The role would suit an experienced skilled general builder, with site management experience ideally with some knowledge of building regulations, site health and safety and related legalities.

Land & Site

Taking a lead on our groundskeeping work; some grass cutting, strimming, bins, firewood and kindling production, moving things around site, helping with building maintenance and any new building projects as time permits.

Embercombe has a voluntary assistant team that helps deliver our fast-paced programme of inspiring courses and venue hires. Residential assistant roles run for 6 months+ during year.

Our amazing Volunteer-Assistant team live on-site and supports our fast-paced and inspiring programme delivery and venue hires during this season. We regularly recruit for new assistants to come and join this wonderful, growing community. We seek motivated individuals to fulfil independent roles for the different areas across the organisation.

Benefits

For each assistant, in exchange for a 28-hour working week, we will be offering simple accommodation on our beautiful land with a communal lounge and kitchen. Alternatively, we have space for your own park-up / live-in vehicle and the opportunity is also available to those locally, living off site. In return for your contribution, you will receive meals when our programme kitchen is operational, together with a monthly stipend of £320 to support food / other requirements, during the periods whilst it is closed.
