Current status, reviewed September 2026: This page refers to a past Honeyland Festival volunteer opportunity on Bornholm. We have not verified a current volunteer call or a recent application process. The old 2018 application links have therefore been removed. Please treat the information below as an archive, not as an active opportunity.

About Honeyland Festival

Honeyland Festival was a small, non-profit music and arts festival near Allinge on the Danish island of Bornholm. The 2018 edition took place from 2 to 5 August and included concerts, performances, visual art, poetry readings, workshops and film. Contemporary coverage identified the cultural association Honeyland Palace as the organiser.

The 2018 volunteer exchange

Before the festival, the organisers invited volunteers to take part in a preparation period called Honeydays. According to the original 2018 announcement, volunteers could arrive from 16 July until the festival began on 2 August.

The exchange offered food, shelter and a festival ticket in return for practical help with preparations.

The original announcement did not provide a detailed daily schedule, working hours or minimum stay, so these details should not be assumed to apply to any future edition.

Location on Bornholm

Historical event listings place the festival area at πŸ“ BlΓ₯holtvej 16, 3770 Allinge, Denmark. Bornholm is a Danish island in the Baltic Sea.

Current status

As of September 2026, Voluntouring.org has not verified a current volunteer programme or application process for Honeyland Festival on Bornholm. The old application form, festival blog link and 2018 Facebook event previously published on this page referred specifically to that edition and have been removed.

This does not necessarily mean that Honeyland Festival or the people involved will never organise activities again. It simply means that there is currently no verified opportunity that should be presented to readers as open for applications.

If a new edition is announced in the future, volunteers should confirm the dates, expected activities and hours, accommodation, meals, transport arrangements, insurance and any relevant visa or work-permit requirements directly with the organisers before making travel plans.

Editorial note: This page was originally published in July 2018 and reproduced information from a Honeyland Festival volunteer announcement for that year’s event. It has been updated to preserve the historical information without presenting the expired 2018 call as a current volunteering opportunity.
