Agroecology, green-building and renewable energy systems
WHAT?
Renewable Ecovillage Activities for Youth (REAY) is going to provide 4 volunteers an unforgettable experience of living and learning in an ecovillage for 6 months starting 1st May 2018.
Arterra Bizimodu aims to open the doors of their eco-community to the European youth to get motivated young people involved with the ecovillage movement through engaging them in a series of activities. The volunteers will get integrated through active collaboration in the shared tasks on a daily basis, plus they also get the chance to specialise in one of the activities.
Volunteers get to choose from two main activities:
- A) Agroecological Farming and
- B) Ecological Building and Renewable Energies.
With option A) you get to work at the community supported vegetable gardens following agroecological production methods.
With choosing option B) you will participate in the application of renewable energies such as solar and biomes and work along community members in the renovation of the main building following ecological principles.
WHO?
This opportunity is open to Italian and UK nationals aged 18-30.
All accommodation, food, and travel expenses are covered.
WHEN?
You will start with Arterra on 1st May 2018 and will stay for 6 months.

CAPACITY FOR ECOVILLAGE NETWORK DEVELOPMENT
Volunteer with GEN Europe for six months
WHAT
This twelve-month long-term EVS project was designed for young people interested in ecovillages and sustainable living, and who want to gain experience in office and networking activities as well as in community-building, self-development and work in intercultural teams. During the twelve months you will get to know the life of a Spanish ecovillage and gain experience in working at an international office!
WHO?
For this activity, we are looking for a UK citizen who has an interest in working in graphic design of websites, newsletters, flyers and posters. You will be forming part of an international IT and communications working group. A keen interest in open source systems and a proactive, solutions oriented mind-set is highly valued in the search for a candidate.
If you are not a UK citizen and have interest then please still get in touch. It is possible we may be able to accommodate you.
WHEN?
ASAP! We are ideally seeking someone to start with us as soon as possible i.e. in either February or March 2018 for 12 months. This placement is with the GEN-Europe office and team based in the ecovillage Arterra Bizimodu in Navarra, Spain
