European Solidarity Corps volunteer in Prague with IYNF

IYNF (International Young Nature Friends) is looking for two long-term volunteers to join its team in Prague, Czech Republic, through the European Solidarity Corps programme. This is a funded 12-month opportunity for young people who want to build experience in international youth work, environmental topics, communication, and non-formal education.

The role starts in September 2026 and is based at the IYNF office in Prague. According to the host, volunteers become part of the team for a full year and help support international projects, communication work, and youth mobility activities.

This is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with people, cares about social or environmental issues, and wants to spend a year learning in an international organisation. It is also a strong option for volunteers interested in communication, visual content, project support, and European youth programmes.

Please read carefully before applying โ— This placement lasts 12 months, starts in September 2026, and is open only to applicants aged 18 to 30 from the countries listed by IYNF. Applications are open until 15 May 2026.

What volunteers do

The host says volunteers work around 25 to 30 hours per week and support a mix of communication and project tasks. This can include managing social media and website content, creating promotional materials, editing photos and videos, writing articles, supporting the e-volunteering network, helping organise workshops and international activities, and communicating with partner organisations across Europe.

If you already enjoy graphic design, writing, video editing, social media, or youth work, this could be a very good match. At the same time, it also sounds suitable for motivated applicants who want to learn in a supportive team environment.

What is covered

This is a funded volunteer placement, not a fee-based programme. The host says costs covered include travel, accommodation, food allowance, pocket money, and insurance. That makes it more accessible than many long-term international opportunities, but applicants should still ask practical questions about housing setup, daily life in Prague, and how the allowance is managed during the year.

Who can apply

According to the host, applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old, able to start in September 2026, have at least a basic command of English, and be ready to live in Prague for 12 months. The call is open only to applicants from these countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, C yprus, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.

What you can gain

The host highlights the chance to improve your English, learn basic Czech, develop social and professional skills, and take part in team activities. IYNF is a long-running European youth organisation focused on sustainability, inclusion, participation, and intercultural exchange, so the placement offers more than office support alone. It can also be a useful stepping stone into youth work, non-governmental organisations, environmental education, or international project work.

How to apply

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply through IYNFโ€™s official channels before 15 May 2026. It is worth applying early, especially for a long-term funded role like this one.
