If you’re eager to dive into Japanese culture, the Summer Japan Culture Camp 2025 by the ASEAN Youth Friendship Network (AYFN) is the perfect opportunity! This immersive program runs from July 13 to 18, 2025, in Osaka, and is open to young people worldwide, aged 17 to 35, regardless of academic background.
What’s in store? 📍
- Cultural tours: Explore the rich heritage of Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara. Visit iconic sites like Osaka Castle, the Gion District in Kyoto, and Nara Park.
- Before the trip, Get a head start with an online basic Japanese language class.
- Cultural activities: Try traditional Japanese experiences like wearing a kimono and tasting authentic cuisine such as sushi, udon, and ramen.
- Heritage walking tour: Discover historical spots like Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizudera, and Yasaka Shrine.
Accommodation and meals 🏠
Participants will stay in comfortable accommodations in Osaka, sharing rooms with fellow participants (2-3 people per room). Male and female participants will stay in separate rooms. The program includes meals as per the schedule, letting you experience Japan’s world-famous cuisine!
💰 Program Fees
- Scholarship: Limited scholarships are available, covering program fees and offering flight expense support. A USD 10 application fee applies.
- Self-funded: Early bird rates start from USD 899 for double occupancy if registered by January 31, 2025. A registration fee of USD 35 applies.
