3 Long-term ESC positions – Stiftung fur Baren (foundation for bears 🐻) seeks to rescue and rehabilitate bears from previous neglect and provide them with a lifelong home at their two sites in Germany; Alternative Barenpark Wobis and Alternative Wolf und Barenpark Blackforest. The charity currently has 3 long-term placements available from April 2023.

Animal Keeper tasks at Wobis.

As a volunteer, you will learn how to do basic tasks first, before moving on to more complex work. Volunteers’ duties will include:

Educational Assistant at Wobis
Educational Assistant and Animal Keeper at Blackforest

This placement is a combination of both the tasks conducted as an animal keeper and an educational assistant.

Eligibility

Volunteers MUST register as a European Solidarity Corps volunteers and be from an EU country.

Due to the work and working environment, volunteers should also be physically fit and able, self-motivated and have a good team spirit!

Benefits πŸŽ–οΈ

As an ESC volunteer all your food, travel and accommodation will be funded by the programme. You will even receive a small amount of pocket money each month! As long as you are between 18-30 years old, and live in an EU country you will be eligible!
