SB Overseas online opportunity – Do you want to try something new with a group of motivated young people? Had you been planning on volunteering abroad but were unable to with the pandemic?
As we adapt to coronavirus regulations, SB Overseas are requesting online volunteers for our SB Espoir projects.
Goals
SB Espoir aims to support the integration and inclusion of asylum seekers in Belgian Reception Centres. In normal times our volunteering would only be open to people based in Belgium. However, to adapt to the pandemic, we are building a virtual community of volunteers to help run zoom workshops.
Volunteer online with SB Overseas
If you have a skill that you would like to share with the youth over zoom get in touch! We are always interested in hearing your ideas and sharing new skills with youth in the centres.
We also want to inspire the youth in the centres through storytelling workshops that that will help them think about career paths and bring hope for the future. If you would like to share your story or career skills in an interactive zoom workshop please get in touch!
If you are already in the Brussels area and are able to help out in person please also let us know
All our activities are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (Belgian Time).
Requirements
Please note that volunteers must have a working knowledge of English and/or French. Individuals that speak
- Spanish,
- Pashto,
- Dari/Farsi,
- Arabic
- Kurdish
