Teach English in a small town in Vietnam

Teach English Exchange – I am a Vietnamese teacher who runs a small English centre that helps local children from low income families. I invite volunteers from abroad to stay with us, share their language and culture, and help my students improve their English.

General information

Volunteers receive free accommodation, sometimes in a shared room, and three daily meals. We usually host more than two volunteers at a time, so it is also a good place to meet other travellers.

Help needed

The main help is teaching and language exchange. Volunteers support English classes, practise conversation and play simple games with the students.

Schedule

We normally ask for about 4–5 hours of help per day, 5 days per week, with 2 days off. We can sometimes arrange days off together so you can travel.

What we offer

• Free accommodation (private room for a couple when available).
• Free food – homemade Vietnamese meals.
• Cultural exchange with local families and students.
• Some support with visa information or invitation letters.
• No participation fees are charged.

Food and lifestyle

You can enjoy typical Vietnamese food, and we can also exchange recipes and learn how to cook each other’s dishes.

Location and free time

The centre is in a small town with fresh air, mountains and lakes, and not much busy traffic. In your free time you can swim, go to the gym, drink coffee, watch movies or simply walk around town and enjoy local life.

Practical information

You can reach us by aeroplane and we will send more detailed directions after contact. There is internet access at the accommodation.
